Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a playwright that depicts the sins and downfall of a Scottish General and Thane of Glamis.
Even though this nobleman was not inclined to commit evil deeds at the beginning, he is doomed after a tempting prophecy is made by the Wayward Witches: He shall be, not only Thane of Cawdor, but king too.
Soon after, Macbeth is encouraged by his wife and makes a decision that starts his wicked path as tyrant: King Duncan’s murder.
«What’s done cannot be undone»
This play presents many questions: Does destiny exist? Was it caused by Macbeth himself, his ambition and decisions? Would he still do it even without the prophecy? Or was it a matter of destiny and Supernatural forces? Wasn’t there any scape of his destiny?
