Venezuela´s Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages

For more than 30 years, VenTESOL has been a strong representative of the ELT community in Venezuela. Our professional community of learning includes teacher training events, online communities, and working hand by hand with the communities. This non-profit organization exists thanks to the volunteer work from our teacher members from all over the country.

About us

Development Program

As part of VenTESOL's professional development program, we organize events all over the country which is divided into seven different regions.

National Convention

It's the biggest event for the year. The annual VenTESOL National Convention brings together over 700 professionals from all over the country.

Regional Conventions

Twice a year we hold special training sessions in each of our regions. During one day, teachers from different contexts get together to share their experience, learn something new from our presenters, and have fun while networking.

English Summer Camps

These camps provide underserved kids and adolescents with basic tools for the development of the four English language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in a stress-free environment during a camp day.

Online Sessions

Live sessions are meeting spaces for teachers worldwide. Each month, a topic is addressed by a specialist in a 30-minute session, and then a small conversation takes place through the questions of the participants.

Special Interest Groups

Our online community of learning gathers teachers from specific areas looking for professional development through online discussions. SIGs areas include: English for Specific Purposes, Special Education, Teaching English to Young Learners, and Technology.
